Pull Apart Cheesy Bread
A crusty round loaf cut into pull-apart pieces, packed with mozzarella and cheddar, and baked with garlic-parsley butter.
Instructions
-
Step 1
Heat the oven to 190°C. Line a baking sheet with a large sheet of aluminum foil.
-
Step 2
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat, then remove it from the heat.
-
Step 3
Stir the garlic, parsley, and salt into the melted butter.
-
Step 4
Place the loaf on a cutting board. Cut a 2.5 cm crosshatch pattern across the top, stopping about 1 cm above the base so the loaf remains intact.
-
Step 5
Mix the mozzarella and cheddar, then tuck the cheese deeply and evenly into every cut in the loaf.
-
Step 6
Spoon the garlic-parsley butter into the cuts and over the top of the loaf.
-
Step 7
Set the loaf on the prepared baking sheet and wrap it loosely in the foil. Bake at 190°C until the cheese has melted through the center.
-
Step 8
Open the foil and bake until the top is crisp and the cheese is lightly browned.
-
Step 9
Rest the bread before serving warm so the pieces can be pulled apart safely.
