Pancakes with Maple Syrup

Fluffy American-style pancakes served warm with pure maple syrup.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in the large mixing bowl.

    Ingredients used: 180.0 gr All-Purpose Flour, 10.0 gr Baking Powder, 25.0 gr Granulated Sugar, 2.0 gr Salt

  2. Step 2

    Whisk the milk and eggs in the medium bowl, then whisk in 2 tbsp (28 gr) melted butter.

    Ingredients used: 2.0 piece Egg, 28.0 gr Unsalted Butter, 300.0 ml Whole Milk

  3. Step 3

    Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and whisk just until no dry flour remains. A few small lumps are acceptable.

  4. Step 4

    Let the batter rest for 10 minutes.

    Timer: 10 min (fixed)

  5. Step 5

    Heat the skillet over medium heat and use the remaining 1 tbsp (14 gr) butter gradually to grease it. Ladle the batter into eight pancakes and cook in batches for about 2 minutes per side, flipping when bubbles form and the edges look set.

  6. Step 6

    Divide the warm pancakes among four plates and serve with the maple syrup.
