Maple Glazed Carrots (Vegan)

Tender stovetop carrots coated in a glossy maple and plant-based butter glaze, finished with black pepper and fresh parsley.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Peel the carrots and cut them diagonally into slices about 1 cm thick. Finely chop the parsley.

    Cookware: Chef Knife, cutting board, Vegetable Peeler

  2. Step 2

    Place the carrots and water in the large skillet. Bring the water to a simmer over high heat.

    Timer: 2 min (fixed)

    Ingredients used: 680.0 gr Carrot, 120.0 ml Water

  3. Step 3

    Cover the skillet, reduce to medium heat, and simmer until the carrots are nearly tender but still hold their shape.

    Timer: 8 min (fixed)

  4. Step 4

    Remove the lid and add the maple syrup, vegan butter, salt, and black pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the liquid forms a glossy glaze around the carrots.

    Timer: 6 min (fixed)

    Ingredients used: 3.0 gr Fine Salt, 0.5 gr Ground Black Pepper, 60.0 ml Maple Syrup, 28.0 gr Vegan Butter

  5. Step 5

    Remove the skillet from the heat, fold in the parsley, and serve warm.
