Lemon Herb Grilled Tofu

Extra-firm tofu marinated with lemon, garlic, fresh herbs, and olive oil, then grilled until browned and lightly crisp.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Place the tofu between clean towels on a rimmed plate and press it under a moderate weight.

    Timer: 20 min (fixed)

    Ingredients used: 600.0 gr Tofu

    Cookware: rimmed plate

  2. Step 2

    Cut the pressed tofu into 8 evenly sized slabs.

    Cookware: Chef Knife, cutting board

  3. Step 3

    Whisk the lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, parsley, thyme, salt, and black pepper together in a mixing bowl.

    Ingredients used: 1.0 gr Black Pepper, 12.0 gr Garlic, 60.0 ml Lemon Juice, 6.0 gr Lemon Zest, 45.0 ml Olive Oil, 15.0 gr Parsley, 5.0 gr Salt, 30.0 ml Soy Sauce, 5.0 gr Thyme

    Cookware: mixing bowl, whisk

  4. Step 4

    Add the tofu slabs to the marinade, turn gently to coat, and refrigerate.

    Timer: 30 min (fixed)

  5. Step 5

    Preheat the grill over medium heat.

  6. Step 6

    Lift the tofu from the marinade, let the excess drip off, and arrange the slabs on the grill. Grill for 4 minutes per side, turning once, until browned and lightly crisp.

    Transfer the grilled tofu to a clean serving plate and rest briefly before serving.
