Cinnamon Roll Mug Cake

A soft, eggless vanilla mug cake layered with buttery cinnamon sugar and finished with a simple powdered-sugar glaze.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Whisk the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt together in the small bowl.

    Ingredients used: 35.0 gr All-Purpose Flour, 2.0 gr Baking Powder, 12.0 gr Granulated Sugar, 0.3 gr Salt

  2. Step 2

    Stir in 2 ¾ tbsp (40 ml) milk, 1 tbsp (14 gr) melted butter, and the vanilla until no dry flour remains.

  3. Step 3

    Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and remaining 1 ½ tsp (7 gr) melted butter in the ramekin to make a thick filling.

    Ingredients used: 12.0 gr Brown Sugar, 2.5 gr Ground Cinnamon, 7.0 gr Unsalted Butter

  4. Step 4

    Spoon half the batter into the mug, add the cinnamon filling, and cover with the remaining batter. Drag the fork through the layers once or twice to create a swirl.

  5. Step 5

    Microwave on high for 60 seconds. If the center is visibly wet, continue in 10-second bursts until the top is just set.

    Timer: 1 min (fixed)
