Banana Bread

A moist, classic banana loaf with a tender crumb and rich banana flavor.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 175°C. Line the loaf pan with baking paper, leaving enough overhang to lift out the baked loaf.

  2. Step 2

    Peel the bananas and mash them in a mixing bowl until mostly smooth.

  3. Step 3

    Whisk the melted butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl until evenly combined.

  4. Step 4

    Whisk in the eggs and vanilla, then stir in the mashed banana.

  5. Step 5

    In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

    Ingredients used: 240.0 gr All-Purpose Flour, 5.0 gr Baking Soda, 3.0 gr Fine Salt

  6. Step 6

    Add the dry mixture to the banana mixture and fold just until no visible streaks of dry flour remain.

  7. Step 7

    Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

  8. Step 8

    Bake at 175°C until the loaf is deeply golden and a skewer inserted into the center comes out without wet batter, about 55–65 minutes.

  9. Step 9

    Cool the loaf in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift it onto a wire rack and cool for at least 10 minutes more before slicing.
