Chocolate Banana Muffins

Moist banana muffins with a rich cocoa batter and semisweet chocolate chips.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Heat the oven to 180°C. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper muffin liners.

    Whisk the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together in a large mixing bowl.

    Ingredients used: 220.0 gr All-Purpose Flour, 4.0 gr Baking Powder, 5.0 gr Baking Soda, 2.0 gr Fine Salt, 40.0 gr Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

  3. Step 3

    Mash the bananas in a medium mixing bowl until mostly smooth.

  4. Step 4

    Add the brown sugar, oil, eggs, milk, and vanilla to the mashed banana. Whisk until evenly combined.

    Ingredients used: 2.0 piece Egg, 60.0 ml Milk, 150.0 gr Sugar, 5.0 ml Vanilla Extract, 120.0 ml Vegetable Oil

  5. Step 5

    Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and fold just until no dry flour remains.

  6. Step 6

    Fold the semisweet chocolate chips through the batter.

  7. Step 7

    Divide the batter evenly among the 12 lined muffin cups.

  8. Step 8

    Bake at 180°C until the tops spring back lightly and a tester inserted in the center comes out without wet batter, 18–22 minutes.

  9. Step 9

    Cool the muffins in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire cooling rack.
