Pork Chops with Apple Sauce

Pan-seared pork chops served with a simple, lightly spiced homemade apple sauce.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Put the apples, water, sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon in the saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.

    Ingredients used: 4.0 piece Apple, 25.0 gr Granulated Sugar, 1.0 gr Ground Cinnamon, 15.0 ml Lemon Juice, 60.0 ml Water

    Cookware: Chef Knife, cutting board, saucepan, wooden spoon

  2. Step 2

    Cover and cook over low heat until the apples are very soft, stirring occasionally.

    Timer: 15 min (fixed)

  3. Step 3

    Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the butter, then mash the apples to the desired consistency and keep the sauce warm.

  4. Step 4

    Season both sides of the pork chops with the salt and black pepper.

    Ingredients used: 2.0 gr Ground Black Pepper, 4.0 piece Pork Chop, 6.0 gr Salt

    Heat the vegetable oil in the large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.

    Timer: 2 min (fixed)

  6. Step 6

    Place the pork chops in the skillet and cook without moving until deeply browned underneath.

    Timer: 4 min (fixed)

  7. Step 7

    Turn the chops and continue cooking over medium heat until browned and the thickest part reaches 63°C, avoiding the bone when checking.

  8. Step 8

    Transfer the pork chops to a clean plate and let them rest before serving with the warm apple sauce.
