Pan-Seared Tilapia with Lemon Butter
Lightly seasoned and floured tilapia fillets, pan-seared until golden and finished with a quick garlic, lemon, and parsley butter sauce.
Instructions
-
Step 1
Pat the tilapia dry with paper towels. Season both sides with ¾ tsp (4 gr) salt, the black pepper, and paprika.
-
Step 2
Place the flour in the shallow dish. Coat each seasoned fillet lightly on both sides, then shake off excess flour.
-
Step 3
Heat the olive oil in the large skillet over medium heat. Add the coated fillets and sear for 2 to 3 minutes per side, turning once with the fish spatula, until golden and the centers reach 63°C; transfer them to the serving plate.
-
Step 4
Reduce to low heat. Add the butter and garlic to the skillet and cook, stirring, until the butter melts and the garlic is fragrant.
-
Step 5
Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the lemon juice, parsley, and remaining ¼ tsp (1 gr) salt. Spoon the lemon butter over the tilapia and serve immediately.
