Jalapeño Poppers

Baked jalapeño halves filled with seasoned cream cheese and cheddar, then finished with a crisp panko topping.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Heat the oven to 200°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Halve the jalapeños lengthwise and remove the seeds and pale inner membranes. Arrange the halves cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.

    Mix the cream cheese, cheddar, scallions, garlic, salt, and black pepper until evenly combined.

  4. Step 4

    Divide the cheese filling evenly among the jalapeño halves, pressing it gently into each cavity.

  5. Step 5

    Stir the breadcrumbs, melted butter, and paprika together until the crumbs are evenly coated.

  6. Step 6

    Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the filled jalapeños.

    Bake at 200°C until the peppers are tender, the filling is bubbling, and the topping is golden.
