Garlic Butter Shrimp

Tender shrimp cooked in a quick garlic butter sauce with lemon, parsley, and a touch of red pepper.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Pat the shrimp dry, then season them evenly with the salt and black pepper.

    Ingredients used: 1.0 gr Black Pepper, 3.0 gr Fine Salt

  2. Step 2

    Heat the olive oil and 2 tbsp (30 gr) of the butter in the skillet over medium heat until the butter melts and begins to foam.

    Timer: 2 min (fixed)

    Ingredients used: 15.0 ml Olive Oil, 30.0 gr Unsalted Butter

  3. Step 3

    Add the shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 1–2 minutes per side, turning once, until opaque and 63°C at the center; transfer to a plate.

  4. Step 4

    Reduce to low heat. Add the remaining 4 tbsp (55 gr) butter, garlic, and red pepper flakes; cook until fragrant without browning the garlic.

    Ingredients used: 20.0 gr Garlic, 1.0 gr Turkish Red Pepper Flakes (Pul Biber), 55.0 gr Unsalted Butter

  5. Step 5

    Stir in the lemon juice, return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, and toss briefly to coat. Remove from the heat and fold in the parsley.
