Cucumber Sandwiches
Classic British finger sandwiches made with thinly sliced cucumber, buttered soft white bread, and a light seasoning of salt and black pepper.
Instructions

Step 1
Wash the cucumber, then use the chef_knife and cutting_board to cut it into very thin rounds.

Place the cucumber slices in the colander, toss with the salt, and leave them to drain.

Rinse the cucumber briefly, drain well, and pat the slices thoroughly dry.

Stack the bread on the cutting_board and trim away the crusts with the chef_knife.

Use the butter_knife to spread butter evenly to the edges of every bread slice.

Arrange the drained cucumber in an even, slightly overlapping layer on four bread slices, then season with black pepper.

Top with the remaining bread, buttered sides facing inward. Cut each sandwich into four equal fingers with the chef_knife and serve promptly.
