Cinnamon Apple Wrap
Warm flour tortillas filled with tender cinnamon-spiced apples, folded and toasted until lightly crisp.
Instructions
-
Step 1
Whisk the cornstarch with the cold water until smooth, then set the slurry aside.
-
Step 2
Melt 1 ¼ tbsp (20 gr) of the butter in the skillet over medium heat. Add the apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and salt, then stir to coat.
-
Step 3
Cook the apple mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and have released some juice.
-
Step 4
Stir the prepared slurry, pour it into the skillet, and cook over medium heat until the juices become glossy and thick. Remove the skillet from the heat and let the filling cool slightly.
-
Step 5
Warm the tortillas one at a time in the clean skillet over medium heat until flexible, about 15 seconds per side.
-
Step 6
Divide the apple filling among the tortillas, placing it just below the center. Fold in the sides, then roll each tortilla tightly around the filling.
-
Step 7
Melt the remaining 2 tsp (10 gr) butter in the skillet over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down and toast, turning once, until golden on both sides.
-
Step 8
Rest the wraps briefly, then serve warm.
