Chia Seed Fruit Jam

A quick mixed-berry refrigerator jam thickened with chia seeds and lightly sweetened with maple syrup.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Place the berries in the saucepan and cook over medium heat until they release their juices and soften.

    Timer: 8 min (fixed)

    Ingredients used: 500.0 gr Berry

    Cookware: saucepan, wooden spoon

  2. Step 2

    Mash the softened fruit to the desired texture, then remove the saucepan from the heat.

    Cookware: potato masher, saucepan

  3. Step 3

    Stir in the chia seeds, maple syrup, and lemon juice until evenly combined.

    Ingredients used: 40.0 gr Chia Seed, 30.0 ml Lemon Juice, 30.0 ml Maple Syrup

  4. Step 4

    Let the jam stand for 10 minutes, then stir well to break up any chia seed clumps.

  5. Step 5

    Transfer the jam to a clean lidded container, cool briefly, then refrigerate until chilled and thickened.
