Baked Plantain Chips

Thin slices of green plantain baked with olive oil and salt until crisp and lightly golden.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Heat the oven to 200°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Step 2

    Peel the plantains and slice them crosswise into even rounds about 2 mm thick.

    Ingredients used: 2.0 piece Plantain

  3. Step 3

    Place the plantain slices in a mixing bowl. Add the olive oil and salt, then toss until evenly coated.

    Ingredients used: 3.0 gr Fine Salt, 15.0 ml Olive Oil

  4. Step 4

    Spread the coated slices on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer without overlapping.

  5. Step 5

    Bake for 10 minutes.

    Timer: 10 min (fixed)

  6. Step 6

    Turn each slice with a spatula.

  7. Step 7

    Bake until the chips are lightly golden and crisp at the edges, 8 to 12 minutes. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before serving.
