Baked Pears with Honey

Tender oven-baked pear halves glazed with warm honey, butter, cinnamon, and vanilla.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 190°C.

    Halve the pears lengthwise and scoop out the cores. Arrange them cut-side up in the baking dish and brush the cut surfaces with lemon juice.

    Ingredients used: 15.0 ml Lemon Juice, 4.0 piece Pear

  3. Step 3

    Melt the butter in the small saucepan over low heat, then remove it from the heat.

    Timer: 2 min (fixed)

  4. Step 4

    Stir the honey, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt into the melted butter until evenly combined.

    Ingredients used: 0.3 gr Fine Salt, 2.5 gr Ground Cinnamon, 60.0 gr Honey, 5.0 ml Vanilla Extract

    Cookware: small saucepan, spoon

  5. Step 5

    Spoon the honey mixture over the pear halves. Pour the water into the bottom of the baking dish around the pears.

  6. Step 6

    Bake the pears at 190°C for 20 minutes.

    Timer: 20 min (fixed)

  7. Step 7

    Spoon the pan juices over the pears, then bake for 10 minutes. Check for tenderness and continue baking for up to 5 minutes if needed.

    Let the pears cool for 5 minutes, then serve warm with the pan juices spooned over them.
