Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

Jalapeño halves filled with seasoned cream cheese and cheddar, wrapped in bacon, and baked until browned and crisp.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Heat the oven to 200°C. Set the wire rack over the baking sheet.

  2. Step 2

    Cut the jalapeños lengthwise. Remove the seeds and pale inner membranes.

    Ingredients used: 12.0 piece Jalapeno Pepper

    Cookware: Chef Knife, cutting board, spoon

  3. Step 3

    Mix the cream cheese, cheddar, garlic powder, and black pepper until evenly combined. Spoon the filling into the jalapeño halves.

    Ingredients used: 1.0 gr Black Pepper, 100.0 gr Cheddar Cheese, 225.0 gr Cream Cheese, 1.5 gr Garlic Powder

    Cookware: mixing bowl, spoon

  4. Step 4

    Cut each bacon strip crosswise in half. Wrap one bacon piece around each filled jalapeño half, placing the seam underneath on the wire rack.

  5. Step 5

    Bake until the bacon is browned and crisp and the peppers are tender, 25–30 minutes.

    Rest the poppers for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a serving plate with tongs.
