Vegan Garlic Noodles

Chewy noodles tossed with sautéed garlic and a savory-sweet vegan soy and hoisin sauce, finished with sesame oil and green onion.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Meanwhile, prepare the garlic and green onion.

    Whisk the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and water in a mixing bowl until the sugar is mostly dissolved.

  3. Step 3

    Add the noodles to the boiling water and cook until just tender according to the package directions. Drain thoroughly.

  4. Step 4

    Melt the vegan butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant but not browned.

  5. Step 5

    Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet and bring it to a gentle simmer. Add the drained noodles and toss over medium heat until evenly coated and glossy.

  6. Step 6

    Remove the skillet from the heat. Toss the noodles with the green onion and black pepper, then serve hot.
