Tender pieces of chicken coated in a glossy soy, ginger, garlic, and sesame sauce, finished with sesame seeds and green onions.

Whisk the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic together until evenly combined. Set the sauce aside.

Whisk the cornstarch and cool water in a small bowl until smooth. Set the slurry aside.

Place the chicken in a clean mixing bowl and season it with the black pepper.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken in a single layer and cook without stirring until browned underneath.

Turn the chicken and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until browned and the thickest pieces reach 74°C internally.

Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet. Bring it to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring to coat the chicken.

Whisk the slurry again, then stir it into the simmering sauce. Cook until the sauce becomes glossy and thick enough to coat the chicken.

Remove the skillet from the heat. Sprinkle the sesame seeds and green onions over the chicken and serve.
