Rice Pudding with Orange

Creamy stovetop rice pudding flavored with vanilla and served with a fresh orange topping and cinnamon.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Finely grate the orange zest into a mixing bowl. Cut away the peel and white pith, chop the flesh over the bowl to catch its juice, and mix the orange flesh, juice, and zest together.

  2. Step 2

    Combine the milk, rice, and salt in a saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring often.

    Ingredients used: 1.0 gr Fine Salt, 150.0 gr White Rice, 1000.0 ml Whole Milk

  3. Step 3

    Reduce to low heat and cook, stirring frequently, until the rice is tender and the mixture has thickened.

  4. Step 4

    Stir in the sugar and vanilla extract. Continue cooking over low heat until creamy but still slightly loose.

  5. Step 5

    Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the pudding rest.
