Grilled Salmon with Avocado Salsa

Grilled cumin-seasoned salmon fillets topped with a fresh avocado, tomato, lime, cilantro, and jalapeño salsa.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Preheat the grill to medium heat and clean the grate thoroughly.

  2. Step 2

    Combine the avocado, tomato, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and lime juice in a mixing bowl. Gently fold in 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil and ⅜ tsp (2 gr) salt.

    Ingredients used: 2.0 piece Avocado, 8.0 gr Cilantro, 1.0 piece Jalapeno Pepper, 30.0 ml Lime Juice, 15.0 ml Olive Oil, 40.0 gr Red Onion, 2.0 gr Salt, 150.0 gr Tomato

    Cookware: Chef Knife, cutting board, mixing bowl

  3. Step 3

    Pat the salmon dry, then rub it with the remaining 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil. Season with the remaining ⅝ tsp (4 gr) salt, black pepper, and cumin.

    Ingredients used: 1.0 gr Black Pepper, 2.0 gr Ground Cumin, 15.0 ml Olive Oil, 680.0 gr Salmon, 4.0 gr Salt

  4. Step 4

    Place the salmon skin-side down on the grill and close the lid. Grill for 4 to 5 minutes, turn carefully, and grill for another 3 to 5 minutes, until the thickest part reaches 63°C.

  5. Step 5

    Rest the salmon for 3 minutes, then serve each fillet topped with avocado salsa.
