Egg and Cheddar Bake

A simple baked egg casserole with milk and grated Cheddar, suitable for breakfast or a light main course.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 180°C.

  2. Step 2

    Coat the inside of the baking dish with the softened butter.

    Ingredients used: 10.0 gr Butter

  3. Step 3

    Whisk the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper in the mixing bowl until evenly combined.

    Timer: 2 min (fixed)

    Ingredients used: 8.0 piece Egg, 3.0 gr Fine Salt, 1.0 gr Ground Black Pepper, 240.0 ml Whole Milk

    Cookware: mixing bowl, whisk

  4. Step 4

    Fold the grated Cheddar into the egg mixture.

    Ingredients used: 200.0 gr Cheddar Cheese

    Cookware: mixing bowl, spatula

  5. Step 5

    Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread the cheese evenly.

  6. Step 6

    Bake at 180°C until the center is set and reaches an internal temperature of 71°C, about 25–30 minutes.

    Timer: 28 min (fixed)

  7. Step 7

    Rest the bake for 5 minutes, then cut it into 6 portions and serve.
