Cucumber Salsa

A crisp, fresh salsa of cucumber, tomato, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and lime. Serve chilled with tortilla chips or alongside grilled foods.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Rinse the cucumber, tomatoes, jalapeño, and cilantro under cool running water, then dry them thoroughly.

  2. Step 2

    Trim and dice the cucumber, then core and dice the tomatoes. Transfer both to the mixing bowl.

    Ingredients used: 400.0 gr Cucumber, 200.0 gr Tomato

    Cookware: Chef Knife, cutting board, mixing bowl

  3. Step 3

    Finely chop the red onion and jalapeño, then chop the cilantro. Add them to the cucumber and tomato.

    Ingredients used: 15.0 gr Cilantro, 15.0 gr Jalapeno Pepper, 60.0 gr Red Onion

    Cookware: Chef Knife, cutting board, mixing bowl

  4. Step 4

    Whisk the lime juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper together in the small bowl.

    Ingredients used: 15.0 ml Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 3.0 gr Fine Salt, 1.0 gr Ground Black Pepper, 30.0 ml Lime Juice

    Cookware: small bowl, whisk

  5. Step 5

    Pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss gently. Rest the salsa in the refrigerator before serving.

    Timer: 15 min (fixed)
