    Mix the sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl until evenly combined.

    Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat, then remove it from the heat.

    Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the popcorn kernels and immediately cover the pot.

    Transfer the popcorn to a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with the melted butter and toss thoroughly.
