A creamy baked pasta casserole with chicken, crisp bacon, broccoli, ranch seasoning, and cheddar cheese.
Instructions
-
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 190°C and set out the casserole dish.
-
Step 2
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the pasta and boil for 5 minutes.
-
Step 3
Add the broccoli to the pasta and boil for 2 minutes. Drain both thoroughly in a colander.
-
Step 4
Place the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until crisp, then transfer it to a plate with a slotted spoon, leaving the rendered fat in the skillet.
-
Step 5
Season the chicken with the salt and black pepper. Add it to the skillet and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until browned and nearly cooked through.
-
Step 6
Add the garlic and cook over medium heat until fragrant and the chicken reaches 74°C internally.
-
Step 7
Return the empty pasta pot to low heat. Add the milk and cream cheese, stirring until the cream cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
-
Step 8
Remove the pot from the heat. Stir in the sour cream, ranch seasoning, and 150 gr of cheddar until evenly combined.
-
Step 9
Add the drained pasta and broccoli, cooked chicken, and bacon to the sauce. Fold together, then transfer the mixture to the casserole dish.
-
Step 10
Scatter the remaining 75 gr of cheddar evenly over the casserole.
-
Step 11
Bake at 190°C until bubbling around the edges and lightly browned on top. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
