Tomato and Mozzarella Panini

A warm sandwich filled with fresh tomatoes and mozzarella, pressed until crispy. Ideal for a quick lunch.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    On the cutting board, use the chef's knife to slice the ripe tomatoes thinly.

  2. Step 2

    Make 2 panini on the cutting board: brush 5.0 ml, half the olive oil, over the outer sides of the bread, then layer the tomato and mozzarella inside and sprinkle the salt over the tomato before closing.

    Ingredients used: 4.0 slice Bread, 125.0 gr Mozzarella, 5.0 ml Olive Oil, 1.0 gr Salt, 2.0 piece Tomato

    Cookware: cutting board — assembly, pastry brush — brushing

  3. Step 3

    Preheat the panini press on medium-high. Brush the plates with the remaining 5.0 ml, half the olive oil, add the panini, and press for 4 minutes until the bread is crisp and golden and the mozzarella is melted.

    Timer: 4 min (fixed)

  4. Step 4

    Open the panini press, remove the panini, and serve immediately while the bread is crisp and the filling is warm.
