Breakfast Burger with Egg
A savory beef burger topped with crisp bacon, melted cheddar, and a fried egg on a toasted bun.
Instructions
-
Step 1
Place the ground beef in a mixing bowl and season with ⅝ tsp (4 gr) salt and 1 gr black pepper. Mix gently, divide into 4 equal portions, and shape into patties slightly wider than the buns.
-
Step 2
Arrange the bacon in a cold skillet, set it over medium heat, and cook until browned and crisp, turning occasionally. Transfer it to a plate and leave a thin coating of fat in the skillet.
-
Step 3
Place the patties in the skillet and cook over medium heat until well browned on the first side.
-
Step 4
Turn the patties, distribute the cheddar over them, and continue cooking until the cheese melts and each patty reaches 71°C internally.
-
Step 5
Spread the butter over the cut sides of the buns. Toast them cut-side down in a clean nonstick skillet over medium heat until golden.
-
Step 6
Add the vegetable oil to the nonstick skillet over medium heat. Crack in the eggs, season with the remaining ⅜ tsp (2 gr) salt and 1 gr black pepper, and cook until the whites and yolks reach 71°C.
-
Step 7
Spread the ketchup over the toasted buns. Fill each bun with one cheeseburger patty, two bacon strips, and one fried egg, then serve immediately.
