Zucchini Noodles with Marinara

Spiralized zucchini topped with marinara sauce for a light and healthy meal. Ideal for a low-carb option.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic on the cutting board using the knife.

    Ingredients used: 2.0 clove Garlic, 0.5 piece Onion

    Cookware: cutting board, knife

  2. Step 2

    Heat olive oil in the saucepan over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion and garlic until translucent and fragrant.

    Timer: 5 min (fixed)

    Ingredients used: 15.0 ml Olive Oil

    Cookware: saucepan — medium heat

  3. Step 3

    Chop the tomatoes on the cutting board using the knife.

    Ingredients used: 400.0 gr Tomato

  4. Step 4

    Add the chopped tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and freshly ground black pepper to the saucepan; stir and simmer over medium-low heat until sauce thickens and reduces slightly.

    Timer: 15 min (scalable)

  5. Step 5

    While the sauce simmers, spiralize the zucchini into noodles using the spiralizer.

  6. Step 6

    Heat a skillet over medium heat and sauté the zucchini noodles briefly until just tender but still firm.

    Remove the marinara sauce from heat and stir in the fresh basil leaves.
