Pork Chops with Apple Salsa

Pan-seared pork chops served with a crisp, sweet-tart apple salsa flavored with red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, lime, and honey.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Combine the apple, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, honey, and ⅜ tsp (2 gr) of the salt in a mixing bowl. Set the salsa aside while cooking the pork.

    Ingredients used: 2.0 piece Apple, 15.0 gr Fresh Cilantro, 15.0 gr Honey, 1.0 piece Jalapeno Pepper, 30.0 ml Lime Juice, 60.0 gr Red Onion, 2.0 gr Salt

  2. Step 2

    Place the pork chops on a rimmed plate and season both sides with the remaining ⅝ tsp (4 gr) salt and the ground black pepper.

  3. Step 3

    Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the pork chops and cook, turning once, until browned and the centers reach at least 63°C.

    Timer: 10 min (fixed)

  4. Step 4

    Transfer the pork chops to a clean serving platter and rest them for 3 minutes.

    Timer: 3 min (fixed)

  5. Step 5

    Stir the apple salsa, spoon it over the rested pork chops, and serve.
